Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas and it was so much fun celebrating Lily's first Christmas. She spent the whole day in her Christmas pj's and loved all her presents.  Santa brought her a princess coupe car and even though she is still small for it she loved it. Our living room is still messy from all her toys.  She even let people hold her and that is a Christmas miracle since she prefers to be held by mommy all the time.  We can't wait for all the Christmas's to come.

4 Months old

Miss Lily turned 4 months on Dec 6th! This is a great age she is laughing and playing all the time.  Her new thing for 4 months is that she tries to put her foot in her mouth....it's hilarious and she even does it while she's supposed to be sleeping at night, we can hear her from our room as she slams her feet down on the mattress. She's trying to sit up on her own, great at rolling over and loves blowing bubbles with her mouth.  I have a feeling she is going to be crawling soon and exploring everything she can.  She did great at her 4 month checkup she is 26 inches long and weighs 14 lbs she is long and skinny just like her Uncle Derin. She loves her toys and we can't go anywhere without them.   She loves our mommy group and loves smiling at all the other babies.  She is such a delight and were loving the holidays with her.

Christmas Tree Farm

We just got back from our annual trip to Little Bear Christmas tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree Griswald style.  Mike and I usually hike all over the woods to find the perfect Christmas tree but this year Mike had to make the hike alone while Lily and I stayed at the little cabin drinking hot chocloate and talking with Santa.  We had a huge group with us and we had a great time and Mike found the perfect Christams tree for Lily's first Christmas.  Lily even sat on Santa's lap and to my surprise did not cry. It felt like midwestern Christmas because of all the snow on the ground. We had a great time and can't wait to decorate our first tree as a family.

Happy Thanksgiving

I can't believe it's been a year since we found out we were having Lily time sure flies.  We didn't make our annual Thanksgiving trip down to Pismo beach this year but we still had a great Thanksgiving and had lots to be thankful for. Lily enjoyed her 1st Thanksgiving she slept through most of it but did wake up just in time for turkey dinner. She even made a friend with grandma and grandpa Dear's black lab named shadow.  She hadn't been around dogs before so it was great to see how much she laughed when Shadow licked her face.  We enjoyed a nice thanksgiving here in Rocklin however Mike is predicting that next years Thanksgiving in Pismo Beach is going to be huge.  Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

3 Months already....

On  Nov 6th Lily turned 3 months, still can't believe it's been 3 months since she came into our lives.  She has been a complete joy and we love being with her.  Right before her 3 month birthday she rolled over and mommy was so excited!  Mommy does tummy time with her everyday and when she is finished she rolls over to tell you she's had enough. Now she is working on sitting up, she loves it when mommy graps her hands and pulls her up to sitting she wants to be a big girl so bad. She also loves giggling and daddy has gotten some great video's of Lily laughing at mommy. She also has a favorite song that mommy must sing multiple times a day it is the "itsy bitsy spider" and you have to do the hand motions. We look forward to all the fun things that she is going to experience during her 3rd month.

Time flies....

I saw this pic the other day I can't believe that she fit in our hands...how she has grown up! That was a week after she was born and she weighed 6 1lbs 5oz now she weighs 13 lbs and is much heavier for mommy to carry.

Welcome

This is my first blog about my me and my Dear family. Since the addition of Lily to our home I thought it would be a great time to start a blog and give updates on her and our little family.  She is getting so big and the last 3 months have flown by, I can't believe how big she is getting, I keep telling her that my little girl is growing up so fast.  Mike and I are loving being parents and Miss Lily is so precious and so loved. Stayed tuned to see all the adventures Mike and I are experiencing with Lily.
